Behavioral Health and Wellness

Our Behavioral Health and Wellness Program launched in the winter of 2022 and is helping Delores transition from a trauma-informed community to a fully therapeutic one where a focus on healing and recovery is integrated into all programs and services. The BHW team consists of an on-site Clinical Supervisor, Behavioral Health Counselor, and Group Facilitator who provide culturally competent and linguistically appropriate services including crisis intervention, peer support, community mental health referrals, medical care management collaboration, and individual and group counseling for shelter guests, supportive housing residents, and continued care clients. The Behavioral Health and Wellness team also oversees our relationship with Colorado Access, helping community members enroll in teletherapy and psychiatry and facilitating on-site skills workshops and peer-led processing groups. With the addition of this program, we are excited to provide a level of service provision and access to clinical and peer support which is unmatched in most shelter environments that contributes to increased stability and wellness among those we serve.
