She has over 25 years of professional volunteer management experience, including leading volunteer engagement while working at Denver Health, University Hospital, and The Adult Learning Source. During her professional career, she has volunteered with a number of community non-profits. She has also served on several advisory committees: DPS Career Education Center Middle College, 9 Health Fair, Denver Employees Combined Campaign and the Advisory Chair, VOA Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and the Colorado Association of Partners in Education. • Kirsty Greer, Treasurer & President-Elect

Kirsty has been volunteering with the Delores Project in various capacities since 2018. She has dedicated time and energy to the Delores Project enthusiastically over the years because of its kindness, longstanding commitment, and care in the provision of shelter and resources to those experiencing housing instability. She has learned so much and continues to learn from the guests and staff of the Delores Project. Kirsty has spent her career in housing development in New York, California, and Colorado. She is a Denver resident and volunteers her time and experience in real estate and housing to a number of exceptional local community-building nonprofits, including the Delores Project.

  • Nevine Nagji, Governance Committee Chair

Nevine began her career in social work but has spent the last two decades working in human resources in the aviation industry and the energy sector, both in North America and internationally. She has a natural curiosity to understand what makes people do the things they do, how connection and diversity influence organizational performance and interpersonal relationships, and how she can help change, small or big. Living and working in different parts of the world has given her a lot of perspective on these questions. Nevine tries hard to approach life and work in the spirit of ethics, generosity, and compassion – values instilled in her by her family and community. She enjoys walking, exploring new places, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She loves feeling inspired by the people around her and is a bit in love with her dog, Chai.

  • Stephanie Kaufman, Development Committee Chair

Stephanie Kaufman is initially from Louisville, KY, and moved to Denver, CO in 2019 to be nearer to the mountains and distant family. She first learned about The Delores Project when she was working for another shelter provider. And she’s been a fangirl ever since. Stephanie was instantly captivated by TDP’s culture of belonging, the spirit of inclusivity, and commitment to providing transformational shelter/housing experiences. She’s delighted to serve TDP as a member of the board. Stephanie brings to TDP a rich background in nonprofit work, a passion for supporting women and gender-expansive individuals, a keen mind, and an open heart—all of which she hopes to share generously. She began her career in nonprofits over a decade ago, the past 5 of which she’s spent working in shelter services here in Denver. Over the course of her career, she’s held many different roles, including community organizer, case manager, fundraiser, manager, and director. She’s had the opportunity to work in both client-facing positions and senior leadership positions, for small and large nonprofits, with grassroots community-based organizations and large national nonprofits. She believes the diversity of her nonprofit background, specifically her time in homelessness resolution, gives her valuable perspective as a member of the board. In her board role, Stephanie aspires to embody values-driven leadership, with an emphasis on trust, transparency, compassion, curiosity, and equity. She is committed to the work of collective liberation and justice. She also brings a strong trauma-informed lens to her work; Stephanie knows first-hand the trauma of addiction and the beauty of long recovery, made possible only because a women’s shelter opened its doors to her when she needed it. She hopes that all who seek respite and healing—from the trauma of houselessness and all other associated traumas—will find it at The Delores Project.

Christine is a mom to a four-year-old and a one-year-old.  As a woman with two young children in the traditionally male-dominated field of patent litigation, Christine has been a role model both for other women and parents in at her firm.  Christine is incredibly excited and grateful to have the opportunity to serve on the Board of The Delores Project.
